Atlas Sayeth.

"Could you hold the world for me,
while I go for a walk"
Consider the mental pressure,
   if it happened to you..
Somebody screaming in a
  mental hospital.

Nobody would ever believe you,
    every little choice,
just going to the grocery store,
   or getting a haircut,
had consequences and implications
  on a global scale.

The only thing which can keep you
    relatively sane
is acceptance of the position,
   and you go about
your daily life as if nothing
  has happened.

The hardest part is that the world
    keeps spinnin'
when Atlas returns and you're
   back to square,
but you can't let go of it,
  in your mind.

The neural pathways splinters
    fragmentation
of every thought, memory, idea
   and you have a choice
for the first time in your existence,
  that's illumination.

But where do you go from there
  to here, or else,
in between or over, to the sides
   it's impossible
to solve et Caligula - until
    the stillness.

You focus your mind on that one
  because it is one
and everything else is simply
   a hoax, a scam
somebody driving you off
    the chosen path.

Addendum :

   And Atlas Returned :
Why aren't you holding the world "
and where did you put it ?
    The reply was then :
"I put it in my pocket instead,
it's very small in the scale of things"
    And Atlas Agreed.

( This was never read aloud
   as Atlas Walked On
and Never Got Anywhere )
